Spring is Definitely In The Air ~

And Spring arose on the garden fair,
Like the Spirit of Love felt everywhere;
And each flower and herb on Earth’s dark breast
rose from the dreams of its wintry rest.

Today was a good day!

I am done with my dentist for awhile, fingers crossed-knock wood.Removing the tooth shards and bone was easy given the nitrous oxide and numbing cream I was given. I think they like their patients compliant, of which I wasn’t when I arrived at 9am this morning.

Tonight I’m feeling relieved, needing to go to bed but wanting to post this crazy big stand of daffodils that volunteer to cheer everyone up each spring just as the work begins….

Nature is a lovely thing.

This being human is a guest house.
Every morning, a new arrival.
Welcome and entertain them all.
Meet them at the door laughing and let them in.
Each has been sent as a guide from beyond.
Be grateful for whoever comes.

  1. So glad you are on the mend – sounds like you are getting great treatment from your Dentist. Love the Spring photograph of the vines!

    1. Hi Mary… It took me two long years to finally put together this team of doctors who are helping me. I weeded out plenty of complete losers.. unfortunately there’s more of them. But yes, I’m resting in bed today but my mouth is so much better and I’m so much better knowing i’m not looking forward to something else next week…. My oldest is coming for a visit from Singapore and always, I love to see him. I hope your spring is springing and your roses are starting to look alive…. here I’m waaaaay behind! đŸ˜‰

      1. It all sounds so good Linda – I’m thrilled for you and I’ll bet Farmer and the children are as well. Daffodils are 5″ or higher now (although freeze next could kill them), the rosette virus took most of the rose bushes – the ones left are sprouting all over the place, and finally our perennials are budding right up (and bless all those lovely rabbits, they better leave them alone this year!). Have a wonderful weekend!

        1. ha! good luck on that rabbit wish, maybe you should find a foot? đŸ˜‰

          1. Now that is funny! Wish you could have seen me chasing him at 6:00 this morning ~ lol, quite a scene.

  2. Happy scenes. Who couldn’t use those about now. I just braved the winters cold (-4° windchill) for birdy feeding purposes. Do it while it’s warm, I thought. Tomorrow it will be -12 actual temperature. LOL. I know they appreciate the food. So happy scenes of days to come are welcomed, indeed!
I’m excited to hear the son will be visiting and especially excited that you’re on the mend. Should make for a good time. Maybe suntea and garden sitting! đŸ™‚
Oh, how welcomed that will be!

    1. that sounds just miserable…. believe it or not, it’s almost 80 here this afternoon! But we desperately need rain so what to do… there’s NO snow pack, a very bad situation that will only increase. i’m glad you are taking care of the birds, they need feeding in those scenarios…poor little dears.

had good times so far today, am resting now-dratted fatigue from the past month of dental destruction. i send you some suntea on the winds…. stay warm! xox

  3. It’s a lovely scene even while I must say I prefer to see daffodils from a closer perspective.

I’m glad to know the surgery went okay and that you’ll now have some time to recover.

    1. đŸ™‚ haha, yes, me too… i took this photo from up here, zooming in on it…. i couldn’t figure out what that yellow clump was at first and was amazed to see it was daffs! Next time, i’ll snap some close ups if i get close up….i’m rather a lump right now. hoping to get time to recover with no further complications or need for more. i’m very tired… xxxx

      1. On top of snow, ice and more snow, never mind poorly cleared streets and sidewalks, we’re now experiencing another blizzard. We don’t usually see any spring flowers here until April (at least), but right now I’d be happy to see pavement. Your pictures remind me springtime is somewhere.

I think of you with great affection and always wish you love and freedom from suffering.

        1. Oh my, what a horrid weather situation you’re in. Coming from the west coast, I think you would/should be screaming insane by now. And it is so nice right now out here too exception being no rain, something i can do nothing about so….

I wish for you the very same thing and also a wee bit of sunshine, dear heart ♥

  4. So pleased to hear that you are done with the dentist! Yes, that news and your “daffodil vineyard” has put me in a good mood on a frigid, windy Sunday morning.

    1. Another one stuck in winter. my friend, i do feel for you tho i’ve never lived in anything like it. i send you virtual bouquets of all things spring! ♥

  5. Just crocuses here in NC – I find I am not in a rush for the next flowers, simply enjoying where we are at the moment. Glad the days are getting longer…

Thanks for posting these stunning photos of your beautiful world. And I’m so glad to hear that the dental work went well!

    1. Thank you so much, Steve. It is a pleasure to see you whenever you stop by. I’m so happy to have it behind me too… Wishing it were ALL behind me but I’ll take this brief reprieve and enjoy my weather, knowing so many are buried in cold white blankets of snow.
