  1. Reblogged this on euzicasa and commented:
    Hear, hear: Happy Birthday Jenis

  2. Beautiful presence, she was. 70 years–seems surreal to me. And Hotel Chelsea still stands, even if a bit of a disarray–it seemed to have connections to so many creative souls.
(and yes, I’m sure Mr. Cohen’s mother was shocked at his tellings…LOL)

I’ll confess this was a blast from the past this morning. I have some memories of Janis Joplin, but they’re fleeting. Hard times for the young gal–seems to be a familiar tale for those who find themselves plopped in the middle of where they thought they wanted to be. Makes me wonder, yaknow?
Makes me grateful for divorcing the things that ‘self destruction’ are made of.

    Thinking of you!
    Hoping!
    I’m sorta like that.

  3. Who ordered this weather anyway?!
Good grief–it’s our coldest March in 60 years. *sigh*
I say it’s a good thing spring found YOU….and I’m glad you’ve got that sunshine and warmth and growing happening.
I’ll…….embrace the snow that’s falling. AGAIN.

    *laughing* Darn groundhog! 😉

Thinking of you……and not the LEAST bit envious of the springtime that’s arrived for you.
    k……maybe just a tad…..

    1. I bless you with warmer weather, my dear. you’ve certainly earned a place in the sun!
